Yes Summer has finally arrived, we have so far had 4 days of stunningly beautiful weather! This has been good for me after a miserable middle part of the year! 6 weeks and hardly a peep of the sun and as soon as the kids go back to school out comes the sun. This is great because it’s warm enough to go to the beach (which I have done 3 times this week) and the sea is still as welcoming (cold) as ever and best of all there are no screaming kids on the beach. Apart from my little boy Saul of course. Unfortunately it meant heading to the beach without my other son because he was in school. However we took him on Saturday, and even though there were a few more children around it was still fairly empty on the beach we were on.

There is one thing that spoils the beach though. On Thursday we went to a different beach to normal, it was closer and we knew we didn’t have much time. This beach is much more well known than the one we went to on Friday and Saturday, and this is the reason why. One very loud Brummy family who didn’t seem to be able to talk to each other, instead they felt because they were in a wide open space (possibly something they aren’t used to) they had to holler at the top of their voices! Now I like people from all areas coming down on holiday, Cornwall needs these people to sustain the economy, but at least show some restraint, there are other people trying to use the beach too you know!

Anyway with that out of the way it’s time to blame the Sun, and Greg, for why I haven’t got much work done this week. The Sun has stopped me from sitting inside watching DVDs and playing games because it’s just been so nice to get out on the beach. As I wrote for the Soteria e-mail newsletter, I am researching what it’s like to have a summer. Greg is the other reason I haven’t done much work, I want to get working on the magazine, but I have yet to receive his articles!

At least the sun has meant that I have been able to get out with my new camera a little bit and the results can be seen on Facebook in the album with the same title as this blog entry. Also I have put one of my photo’s in the background of the blog. Lovely!
